RE;CODE is arguably the most sophisticated upcycling brand in Korea. Backed by Kolon FnC, they take 'deadstock' inventory (clothes unsold after 3 years that are legally required to be incinerated) and deconstruct them to create entirely new, avant-garde designs. This process is more expensive than making new clothes, but it saves tons of textile waste. They also operate 'Box Atelier', a space dedicated to repairing and remodeling customers' existing clothes to extend their lifespan.
